Vol 2 - no drive letter - ESP FAT32 hidden When I used the diskpart command to see the drive letter assignments it showed the following: I was able to find the automatic repair logfile, srttrail.txt, but when Ilooked at it, it showed that every listed test succeeded and that automatic repair could not determine the cause of the problem. I tried running sfc /scannow to fix the windows files, but it failed. I was able to change to the c: drive by using the cd command. I went into the command prompt, and noticed that instead of showing the drive as c: it shows it as x. ![]() I tried to do a restore, and it showed several restore points, but it won’t let me select what should be the c: drive It won’t boot into any version of safe mode. Options presented, except for resetting the computer or reinstalling windows, but with no luck. I’ve gone through all the various troubleshooting The error that is displayed is “critical process died”. My daugther’s dell inspiron laptop had been working fine then suddenly got into a loop where it keeps rebooting into the Windows Automatic Repair environment.
